Welcome. My name is Kurt Penrose, and I believe art should be a transportive experience—a piece of visual poetry created to lift the spirit.
I work mostly in oil paints, drawn to their luminous color and the rich, expressive texture they allow. Inspired by the Impressionists, my mission is to capture the fleeting, simple beauty of the natural world: the dance of light on a flower petal, the quiet shadow of a shoreline, or the vibrant hues of a setting sun.
Each painting is an invitation. It’s my sincere hope that through these scenes, you can step away from the noise of daily life and find your own moment of peace and happiness, seeing the extraordinary in the quiet corners of nature.
